mod edit: No worries! It can be pretty confusing if you have no idea how to do both things, and we really haven't posted any in-depth way on the forum that'll help if you're confused.

First off, for frame counting I recommend downloading avidemux, as every press on the arrow key will be .016, which is a single frame. If you want to find the time of your runs, you want to have it start at the first frame the pause button turns into the fast forward button, then the first frame the fast forward button reverts back to the pause button. Doing this in avidemux is pretty easy because all you need to do is find each frame, and set the A marker for the start frame, and the B marker for the last and it'll tell you the time of the segment.

For counting pauses, it can be pretty tedious/hard. You need to go into the run and at the end of rounds, (If there's a pause) you want to look for a single frame (or sometimes it's multiple) where the play button reverts back to the pause button, and note how many happen in the run. Please note, depending on what fps you record on pauses need to be different values. I recommend 60fps if you're not already because then we count pauses as a single frame (.016) which makes it easy to see the timeloss.
