Not the most impressive run, especially considering that I'm 6 seconds behind the WR, but it's not that bad for my first attempt at a Medium run.

Mod note: it's good for a first Medium run! 6* seconds is a lot less to save in medium than in easy, especially since 4 out of the 6 seconds lost came in the last 20 rounds, which you haven't speedran yet, it's great! I imagine you will definitely manage at least a :44 in the future. Also have you considered using the timing mod? It will probably make you get faster times since it removes any frame-dropping issues which nearly always happen regardless of hardware - I went from a 4:39.6 to a 4:38.5 in one day using the timing mod for easy!
