For single player you can change what events are active on the map such as winter wonderland or the anniversary event. What happens is that, specifically in Eggcelent adventures, you get the dino candies from oviraptors that increase your creature speed by 5,10 or 15% even to flyers, depending on the rarity which over an hour long run could be extremely. Question is, are events allowed or not?

no you should have ActiveEvent=none this enabled at all times when speedrunning i didnt have it on for one of my runs i think scorched earth and i got a warning about it

on my aberration run i had the halloween event active, that doens't mean your run is invalid, BUT you are NOT allowed to take ANY event items and keep in mind that some event like halloween do block artifact spawnpoints (as shown on my aberration run)

NOT allowed to take ANY event items! But you can forget turn it off. If you do not used event items that mean run is valid. Also on easy runs when you forget change loot drop quality i will not ban run because you literally can not get any drop (they turned off).
