Pauses in the run clock are to refuel and pay the mechanic for tuning, because I've used a vanilla game with mods done via Cheat Engine. Obviously, using a mod with infinite fuel and tuning means you'll never have to stop between races to fill up and can just keep going, so I've cut out my time doing that between races to make it fair.
