SCP: 5K Speedrunning Tournament
Join the adrenaline-fueled SCP: 5K (SCP: Pandemic) speedrunning tournament and compete for cash prizes in this intense race against the clock through anomalous outbreaks and containment breaches.
To celebrate Affray's 173-B Plushie campaign with Makeship, Affray Interactive will be holding a SCP: 5K Speedrun Competition.
Game
SCP: 5K is a cooperative tactical horror shooter project that puts players in the midst of a story inspired by SCP-5000 by Tanhony. Formally known as SCP: Pandemic, 5K is in early access and is developed by Affray Interactive.
Prizes:
Consists of a prize pool of $300 cash: $200 from Affray, $100 from the SCP Speedrunning community. Affray is also giving out SCP: 5K-themed prizes for the winning contestant.
- 1st Place: $150 USD, the original SCP-173-B Plushie prototype, and an Area-12 crate
- 2nd Place: $100 USD
- 3rd Place: $25 USD
- 4th Place: $25 USD
Contest Details
To participate, play a speedrun of the current 0.13 version of SCP: 5K; you'll need to complete a run in the Area-12 category with a fire team of 4 players to qualify. Make sure to record your run on YouTube or on Twitch. Once completed, upload the video or link the video(s) of your run and post the URL on speedrun.com for verification. All runs will need to abide by the SRC rules.
Duration/Competition Format
The group with the fastest completion time will advance to the semi-finals. In the semifinals, the winning 4-man fire team, will split up into two teams and complete Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of Area-12 and whichever team has the shortest run will reach the finals.
In the finals, the two finalists will compete in the Outpost Axiom category to achieve the fastest completion time and determine the plush speedrunning winner.
Phase 1 (Preliminaries): April 8th - April 12th
Phase 2 (Semifinals): April 13th - April 14th
Phase 3 (Finals): April 15th - 17th.
Eligibility
Anyone is free to submit a run with any team of 4. To find other event participants, please join the Affray Interactive Discord server or the SCP Speedrunning Discord to find others to run with.
