Whew. Now THAT'S a decent All Superstars run.
Excellent luck and generally good play from start to finish. The largest time losses were from slow and extra matches, a few match restarts, Wario Toy Field 200, and the chaos caused by me accidentally recruiting Mario's team in Peach's playthrough before I planned to. All things considered, though, I handled everything pretty well.
Highly improvable splits: ---Peach Note Block (5th try, but good luck getting better) Peach r. DK (1 false start) Peach r. Wario (2 matches, 4 false starts) Waluigi BB (3 tries) Waluigi WB (2 tries) Peach v. Bowser (1 false start, wrong MVP meant 2 matches... despite TWO Birdo Grand Slams. Cool) ---Mario Luigi TF (only 3 tries because I forgot to save the game) Mario r. DK (2 false starts) Luigi BB (4 tries) Mario v. Peach (1 false start) Mario v. Yoshi (2 matches for PG) Mario v. Wario (2 false starts) ---Wario Wario TF (6 tries) Petey PP (2 tries because of hubris) Baby Luigi PP (2 tries; 1st try took damage after time expired) Wario v. Mario (2 false starts, but Booted Ball was 2nd try, so not that bad overall) Wario's Extra Games (5 matches and 1 false start because of poor planning/improvising) Wario v. B Jr. (1 reset to secure Birdo HR) ---Bowser Bowser r. Peach (2 false starts) Toadsworth BB (2 tries) 203/204 (2 extra matches overall)
Everything else was 1 match / 1st try. Some of the matches could have theoretically been faster (especially Bowser v. All Stars) but the games were overall VERY efficient, and I'm happy with them. I am curious about how things would have turned out if I'd done one or two Peach v. Mario matches to take care of anti-Mario targets including Petey SO Mario, but given how well the 1 Peach v. Mario match did go (Wario 5 RBI and inside-the-park HR, Diddy Clamber) it's not gonna keep me up at night.
This category is super fun. If you'd like help running it, let me know. :)
