Some of the cars in-game can be slot cars and are not the same as any car you can buy in-game. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of what slot cars are, but for those who do not, they are faster versions of cars in the game, often with parts that you cannot get at the Bodyshop. These cars are only available to those who get permission from the developer for supporting them financially, which is basically a disadvantage to the average player, with no money, like me, who is playing off a four-year-old laptop, and does not earn enough money to spend on anything else other than high car insurance rates. Also, it would be nice to see the name of the car, as it becomes a subgroup of tier cars, so you can beat that record. For example, the Lotus Carlton I drive gives me an unfair advantage, as it has eye-watering acceleration and has the highest top speed in the game (of cars anyone can get at the dealership at the moment). An evo 9 is much slower than this, and will not have much of a chance to beat the Lotus, where both are in the same rank, but not of the same quality. Although the evo 9 is slower in real life than the lotus, it still is unfair to other players trying to beat records, and it also sets the tone for, lets say, "the fastest Lotus" or "the Fastest GTR R32" on the turnpike Hillclimb. This would make it easier to categorize a specific car to be the fastest of that subgroup. It would be best, (from a user perspective), if the subgroups would be categorized into these levels: all cars, Manufacturers (Lotus, Honda, etc.), similar badging (GTR, RX7, Lancer evolution (or just evo.), etc.), and finally, the individual car. It could be a long list, with filters added, or separate sections, (one inside the other), or a mix of both. I think this would be kind of cool, and also would allow more competions among players with lap times to come about.
