Can you submit a run done on DS?

I've seen "DS" at the top near names for other GBA games but not this one, just wondering if you can also submit a DS run for this game

Yes, you can. At least you should be allowed.

I don't think it should because of the balance changes, as well as Stat changes. certain glitches, and input capping on moves like chopper bros make it a slower run overall in comparison to the original. It is also an easier scaling plus they have an "Easy Mode" in the DS version

When I am talking about the DS version, I am specifically referring to inserting the GBA game inside of a DS Phat or DS Lite console. I am NOT talking about Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minion, as that is an entirely different game with its own leaderboard page. I am assuming TurmurM is speaking of the same thing as I am, as they specifically stated DS and talking about other GBA games. They never specified 3DS, and MLSS+BM is a 3DS game, not a DS game.

(Why the hell did SR.C remove the quote function?)

Yes, Snodeca is correct. I was just wondering about it. Thanks anyway

DS is a viable console to submit a recording from. Though from what I've been told, GBA games run a tiny bit slower on DS compared to GBA hardware (about 0.072hz from what I could find online) which would translate to a time loss of about 5 seconds for an any% run around the 71-73 minute range and 15 seconds for a glitchless run in the 202-205 minute range on GBA (current any% and all bosses WR is done on Switch which I believe has a slightly better framerate than GBA or DS, although the data on those are still new) which means you are putting yourself at a very small handicap over other platforms by running on DS.

Though I don't mind if the mods here decide not to do this, what I personally do in the GBA game I moderate (Donkey Kong Country 2 GBA) is, if a run on DS is submitted, I recalculate their times from the DS' 59.6555 FPS to the GBA's 59.7275 FPS, so that you aren't at a disadvantage for running on DS. This causes a 1:17:23 run to become a 1:17:17 run.
