Hi, Im new to speed running and I wanted to try out mario kart 7 and I have some questions

1. do you use items when doing a cup if so...

2.how do you get no items, do you need a mod?

3. how do you get it to play all cups

4. is recording without a capture card allowed

those are the 4 questions I currently have. thank you.

1. items are required as there is no option for no items.
2. No, items are required as I said.
3. You start by selecting Mushroom cup, and when you finish you go back and select Flower cup, same thing for every cup
4. Recording is not required, unless you get a WR

No, it's NOT required. Do you see "video proof required" written anywhere ? How many runs with a video do you see on the leaderboards ? I mean, when you're given an simple answer to a simple question, no need to double check.

But pretty much everyone agrees that it should be video only for wr, and it’s common sense not to submit a wr without video
