What's the ruling when it comes to the JP version of MH1 vs the other versions of the game? There are some fairly significant differences between the versions that it may be worth keeping a different category specifically for the JP version.

what kind of differences, besides a few text boxes? I'm aware this is the case for other games, I just don't know for this one. And they wouldn't be separated until someone does a run on J if they are different enough, and if there's enough people that care about it (competition). Else, fair game.

The JP version of MH1 has significantly different balance (lower monster health pools, elemental weapons are stronger, poison worked differently and was much stronger). It also had a different quest list. A few different item combos (Mega Potions for example are Herb + Honey instead of Potion + Honey). And a couple other changes like that.

Been working towards running this and I have the Pal version. I agree that the Japanese version is very different to the US and PAL version. Japanese should defiantly be its own category as it is almost a beta to the later releases. PAL and NTSC-U should have their own category together, most notably is the addition of Gypceros and Basarios in the village quests. not to mention the different cost, stats and material requirements.
