damn that more than the limit lol i think i got a run of mine a chunk verificated just after about a bit more than a more before fun fact that it got rejected about 1 hour later because of not having the seed and then i submitted again with the seed to have to wait 1 month lol
yea i remember when my run took exactly 2 months to verify
igt was extremely bad so it wasnt pb
Yeah, I currently have a run which has been awaiting verification for a month now, but that's to be expected and understandable in most cases. Understand that mods are volunteers at the end of the day, and they have a life beyond speedrun.com, (I would at least assume so OMEGALUL )
If 21 days (3 weeks) have passed, you may contact mods that your run has yet to have been verified. But try to maintain a respectful & friendly attitude to encourage them to verify a certain run. You'll just have to be patient
this is literally one of the most active speedgames ever and especially this decade it has gained a huge influx of runners due to dream etc. i know srcom has the 3 week thing as a general rule, but i think this game can be an exception so just try and remain patient, theyll get to you eventually
@TheGreatestRoman I would have to agree with you. This game is definitely an exception which I forgot to mention, but following the general rule of 3 weeks of waiting, you CAN contact mods per rules, hence "may". But whether or not this is appropriate to do considering how much work mods have already, I'm not sure. So @TheGreatestRoman you're COMPLETELY right, patience is DEFINITELY the key Just clarifying :)
It's not an exception there was a thread about this a while ago, i'll just copy-paste mango's response

Opening a ticket in the discord doesn’t help. Sorry, but we really have a lot of runs sitting in queue and we are understaffed.
Understaffed? Excuse me? According to publically accessible API data, this leaderboard and the category extensions get about 70 runs per day, with about 40 runs verified a day. Both leaderboards combined also have a combined 23 unique mods/verifiers. It takes each mod to verify only 3 runs a day to be able to match the number of runs you receive.
I can understand that you all have lives, and you cannot do this every day, but to try to aim for a measly 3 runs per day is not at all difficult. You guys have so many mods and verifiers that have not verified shit for ages. You guys are not understaffed, you guys are just busy being carried by a small number of mods that do the vast majority of verification such as @nottherealben who was responsible for 43% of verification on this leaderboard in the past month.
Last time I checked the queue for this leaderboard and the category extensions, there were around 1000 pending runs. Now obviously Bedrock Edition does not get the same number of runs you guys do, but we also have about half of the verification team, with some of those mods being retired and simply listed as mods out of respect. We used to very frequently hit 200, 300, or even 400 pending runs on any given day. After we realized however that you only need each guy to do their own small part to keep the queue down, we have managed to verify almost every single run within 2-3 days of submission, many times even on the same day. Yes we are a smaller community, but the exact same applies here.
Waiting over 3 weeks for verification is really just stupid.
Edit: Typo fix
The site rules are clear: If mods are unable to verify runs in 3 weeks, they have to add more staff. https://www.speedrun.com/mc/thread/csw8l
It's really stupid that runs take months to verify, it's not because of popularity it's because of bad moderation.
ya same with me but its a world record for the least run category in java extensions so no biggie lol they have bigger fish to fry
@Merl_ after taking into consideration what you and mango wrote, I've decided to change my mind, which is not a bad thing to do! I can definitely see how this game wouldn't be an exception to the 3 week verification rule now. But my point that mods have a life beyond speedrun.com still stands, some mods just seem to be excessively inactive. I suppose patience would still be the key as the current situation stands.
But my point that mods have a life beyond speedrun.com still stands, some mods just seem to be excessively inactive.
If mods don't have the time to verify runs because they're too busy irl, they need to add more.
If mods don't have the time to verify runs because they're too busy irl, they need to add more.
Yes, this is correct. I 100% agree with this
But I don't see why you quoted me and I think you missed my point; moderators have a life beyond speedrun.com and don't need to spend every second of their day verifying runs, and this is acceptable. But to very rarely verify runs and having runs wait months before finally getting verified, that's unacceptable, hence why I said that mods are very inactive. So my point that mods have a life beyond speedrun.com STILL stands, but my point that the mods are too inactive also still stands, and the last part is unacceptable.
And yes you're right the rules are clear; if mods can't verify runs in 21 days or less, add more!
Just clarifying :)
Agreed, they need more mods. But they're apparently too busy with their lives to look at the mod apps because mine still hasn't been looked at :|
