So, I've been trying to speedrun a bit lately but my laptop isn't built that well which led to a lot of lags, even with optifine. A 20min recording for example can be 15mins ingame.(got ~40fps on average) Could I somehow "counter" the amount of lag/prove it's legit by using a Hand&Keyboard cam in a recording or would any run with this amount of lag be rejected? Are there any other ways of improving performance(apart from optifine)?
well i mean.... 40fps is still playable.... and well, mods will know if it's legit or not.
20-minute recording and 15 minutes seem like ur exaggerating because 5-minute lag shouldn't last that long?
Of course, if u have a run that is purely 2 frames per second, then that's ur recording software's mistake and not the actual game. As for improving performance, there's not much u could do except decreasing ur recording software's resolution as well as set all of Minecraft's settings to the lowest possible besides, of course, render distance.
OBS suggestions: 540p 4-5k bitrate 25fps
close all other unused tabs when playing Minecraft
also if you are playing 1.16 you cant use optifine, check the rules if you arent sure. and streaming could help if storage is a problem. even with 10 fps your run would probably be accepted as long as it isnt sub 20 or something.
i mean THIS video got accepted, so really anything would get accepted probably
