Full route description

The route for the speedrun goes as follows:
1. Go back and forth until you reach the well screen. (You can actually take random paths but back and forth is quickest.) You do NOT need to reach or pick up the first note at any point; the game will keep attempting to give it to you for the rest of the run, it makes no difference whether you take it or not.
2. Take a clockwise path for 4 screen transitions (for example, up, right, down, left will work) to get to the witches statue.
3. Proceed left from the witches statue until you reach the outhouse.
4. Go left, down, right, left, down, right to reach the graveyard.
5. Interact with the small graves in the order 2, 3, 1, 5, 4 (where 1 is the leftmost one) and then interact with the big grave.
6. Follow the ghost to the crypt. (The ghost takes random directions so you have to react pretty quickly.)
7. Enter the crypt and walk up until you get the rope, then exit to menu and reload save (or just wait for the same outcome but that's slow).
8. Go back and forth 3 times in any direction to reach the well, walk up and use the rope on it and then descend
9. Go right and follow the correct path to the ladder (you should memorize this or write it down, it can be spotted at the top of the screen near the well rope)
10. Climb the ladder and hit the lever
11. Take a clockwise path to the witches again, then proceed upward until you reach the cave
12. Flick the left and right switches in the correct sequence (you'll probably need to write this down). Starting with the right-hand switch and alternating: 3112113232311213113112113211323111323411
Grab the lighter and leave.
13. Take a counterclockwise path (for example, right, up, left, down will work) until you reach the lake.
14. Proceed downward until you reach the tower, then take a clockwise path until you reach the witches.
15. Go left, right, right, left, up, down, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, right, up and you should be at the stumps.
16. Take the correct path around the stumps. This is the hardest part because we skip collecting the note that shows the path and I definitely can't represent it in text. You should either have this written down or have a screenshot of the note from a casual playthrough.
17. Upon taking the correct path, the vine at the top disappears. Go up and use the lighter on both torches, then enter the door. Split when the screen is completely white.
