New category idea - "no give ups"

As gross as the physics and bugs in this game are, I think the out of bound strats have gotten to a point that warrants a category where stroking out to "give up" on a hole is not allowed. Here's my submissions for this hypothetical category for the US and Japan courses:

US Course: 13:14

Japan Course: 13:32

From a rules perspective, seems straightforward enough.

From a speed perspective, not giving up is faster than giving up... but it is much much harder to pull off.

It's a minor point, though: Give Ups Allowed vs Give Ups Permitted is a fine distinction and easily enforceable rule.

I agree that a new category which does not allow "Give Ups" is worthwhile to have and would definitely be more challenging.

As for how to name the categories I do usually try to keep them short if possible. Maybe something like this:

U.S.A. Course (No Give Ups) Japan Course (No Give Ups)

Would it make sense to rename the current categories too by appending (Any%) or perhaps that is already implied in comparison with what the new categories will be named? I'm fine with leaving the current category names the way they are now.

Honestly, I'm pretty open with whatever makes sense.

IMO Any% and No Give Ups% seems good.

Thanks for the replies, sounds like we are in agreement.

In the next day or so I will make the following changes:

  • Add a top level categories for "No Give Ups" and "Any%"
  • Make USA and Japan sub-cats under each
  • Add Matt's runs to the new boards
  • Ensure that all existing Any% runs show up properly on the board

Turns out shifting an existing category to a variable is a hassle, so I kept USA and Japan as the top level categories. Any% and No Give Ups are now a subcategory, and I have added Matt's runs to those boards.
