Hi. I talked to a few other members of the community lately, and we all think it would be a good idea to start requiring a video proof when submitting a run to this leaderboard, also as a consequence of the fact that submissions are now more frequent than they used to be, and new runners are taking an interest in this game, and I personally think if there's a chance to make things more legitimate, it's always wise to take it. Do you guys think we could make this happen?

Every Submission should have a video IMO. It doesn't matter if it's a good run or a bad run. I suggest not only to require video proof, but also remove runs that do not have video proof from the leaderboards.

I agree. Video proof is a standard basic requirement on pretty much all speedrun boards.

If everyone agrees, I'll proceed removing all the "no video" runs from the leaderboard, as it's quite pointless to keep them there; plus, it could be an incentive for runners to get new PBs :D

Jinno, could you get a quick PB or casual time for posting off of FCEUX or something, at least for the quick category? We do have a consensus here but you started out putting this game on the map for a lot of us and it would suck if you're knocked off the boards because you can't get a capture.

And I'd prefer in the future, that people dont verify their own runs for legitimacy purpose.

Yeah, the "automatically verify run" option totally defeats the purpose of what verifying a run is actually about.
