If you are going for a perfect 8-1 framerule, with 0 frames to spare, you can jump 3.5 blocks after the previous pipe so you land on the back part of the ´´pipejump´´ pipe, jump when you touch the edge. But if you are going for a 5:02, you can skip that pipejump and slow down on the 3 goomba section, if you perform it well, you may only lose a framerule (+0.35 seconds) over the perfect 8-1, which requires good judges or hit the starblock on the first pixel, so its quite hard.

I think we should wait if maybe the moderators see it as something viable, if they dont, we may do some races by ourselves :D

I made a tas, using the fire mario strat, and the backside of the block fullfpg on every possible flagpole, could get the time down to a 18:38

@drag0n2011 Being good varies from person to person, maybe, for someone with a 4:54, My 4:57 may be a "decent" time, everyone has a different perspective of being good and enjoying the Game.

@Shadowbrine1, maybe the races could get You more competitive on the Game, practice more, go for consistancy and overall, get better at the game

The 19th Peercast SMB1 any% Tournament just happened, and I thought why there' is not an annual or even monthly tournaments for the speedrun.com community. It'd be nice, not only to get new players into the Game/community but also to give more players the chance to race and compete in this Game.

Maybe with the community together we can get it to happen.
