@starvin just ask one of the super mods (joedamilio, dragondarch or kmac) I am pretty sure one of them will add you as moderator ;)
I can just speak about Game Boy/GB Color games because I have no clue about how GBA games behave on different platforms.
I would like to have added the following platforms for GBC games:
- Super Gameboy 2 (SGB2)
- GameCube Game Boy Player (GBP)
Thanks :)
I would actually keep SGB and add SGB2 as a separate platform because that way you know on what system the game has been run and convert SGB1 times (yes, I am converting runs done on SGB1 for my leaderboards I am moderating :) ). Also +1 on adding GBP
Sorry, just saw this thread here, not checking the forums quite often. But yeah it's like fattycakes said timing starts when you gain control of the character and ends when you touch the treasure chest (it's btw also stated in the rules above the leaderboard, you guys should read them before submitting times to a leaderboard ;) )
I am not a big fan of SDA timing but since the best runners (namely nudua and dxtr) were using SDA timing at the time their runs were done I set SDA timing as a standard for this leaderboard.
Just wanted to let you know that the Famicom version of Double Dragon 2 features unlimited continues (US version as well but you have to enter a code on the game over screen) and that one can beat the game completely on easy in the FC version whereas in the US version the game ends after Stage 3 when you pick "Practice" difficulty.
You can read about it here: https://tcrf.net/Double_Dragon_II:_The_Revenge_(NES)#Difficulty_settings
So my question would be if the continue code is allowed for Double Dragon 2 and if yes, then wouldn't it make more sense to change to the Famicom version.

wow, indeed...just checked some of the leaderboards which I am moderating and thy copied the categories + respective rules 1:1.
Since I was an off-site mod I can just talk about things I have seen on stream :)
Mods:
I really liked the communication between the mods/tech station (mainly via Slacker, which I am recommending warmly, really good solution).
Bots:
The bots were good (moobot and ESApasta, thanks for that again CBenni ;) ) though moobot was a bit too aggressive sometimes but it's just a small thing (why was "cancer" banned again and why were people timed out for 10 minutes for writing that?).
Chat:
Chats were mainly ok though sometimes this whole "Grill" thing went way too far. For the next time I would suggest a time out for it since it got really out of control sometimes.
Host:
Pac PogChamp
I really liked the idea of these in-between host sessions though I want to mention one big issue I didn't like at all: SELF-PROMOTION. During the whole event I noticed some hosts heavily self promoting their Twitch channels and even posting their Twitch channel links in chat. And no, not just today during Jodenstone's run but the whole week every now and then. Come on guys, it's a charity event and the runners should be in the centre and not the hosts. (I won't mention any names at this point but let me say one thing it was mainly female hosts promoting their channels ;) )
That's it for now I guess, thanks for the event guys and see ya next time :)
oh btw you listed me as on-site moderator but I would be in fact like JohnUK89 an off-site moderator ;)
Since I will watch ESA non-stop I could help in moderating chat. I love to ban people and I feel like there will be some to ban OneHand b just kidding about the banning part. Count me in
Well that's normal tennis rule. If it's 6:5 you have to win with 2 sets lead (7:5). If it's 6:6 there will be a tie break.
Just made a quick Fire' n Ice World 1-3 tutorial if anyone is interested:
I can also add a "Good ending" category if you guys consider it as a separate category. No problem, just let me know :)
