I plan to do a NG+28 Speed run very soon, and I don't know the general rules around speed running. I do plan on streaming this so I don't plan on cheating in anyway, nor do I have any desire to do so. I do however have a few questions.
So in very deep Noita runs it's common to create backup saves incase of game breaking crashes/ glitches. Recently the most notable of such is the "poof" glitch in which teleporting into a chunk as it unloads also unloads the player in that instant resulting in instant death. Where typically there are multiple live saving mechanics (Extra Life Perk and Saving Grace) in the game to prevent death, this glitch bypasses ALL live saving methods and instantly kills the player.
So my questions are:
-
In the event of game breaking bugs occurring, would that kill the run? As stated the "poof" glitch bypasses all typical methods that would guarantee survival and is an instant death, there is no concrete method of avoiding this glitch, but there are theorized methods of preventing it.

In the event of such a game breaking bug occurring, would reverting to a backup of the same run be valid? With the assumption that prepping the back up and re-opening the game be included in the timer of the run?
I am highly confident in my ability to complete this speed run, however such a glitch posses some very difficult issues with a run of this nature. I would probably still attempt the run even if back ups are deemed not allowed, but I doubt I would re-try if the glitch kills the run once or twice.
