I am aware that it requires skill to speedrun. I don’t remember what I was trying to say but it was off-topic and I worded it very badly. I shouldn’t have commented on the skill you need to speedrun the game because I haven’t even done a full speedrun yet, I don’t know why I mentioned it and it was completely off-topic to the question. I got my answer and that’s all I needed.
No I didn't- god dang i-
Yeah I know "little skill and strats" was completely wrong, I was trying to say something and I said it completely wrong, I meant that it's not too hard to get that hang of if you already have lots of experience playing casually, for glitchless that is. I know there are many strats used in speedruns not used in casually runs and it requires a lot of skill to become a top player and just get a somewhat good time on the leaderboard.
Hello, I'm new to Undertale and I'm looking to start speedrunning it as there's little skill and strats to speed up the game, making it easy for people to start speedrunning, but I would also like to add silly mods to my game, so I'm wondering, what are the limitations of modding the game? I'm specifically wondering about dialogue, because in speedruns you skip all the dialogue by mashing the keyboard, so I'm just making sure that you are allowed to modify dialogue, as long as it isn't unskippable dialogue. Obviously I'm not going to mod the game in any way that will provide an unfair advantage, but I'm wondering if this would be against the rules, of course changing music files, editing sprites and whatever won't provide an unfair advantage unless there are specific events tied to the sprites/music.
