furthermore, why can you follow people on here? what does that do? just tell u when they post on forums or make posts or smthn?
Almost every forum post in the last like 10 years or whatever have relied on old markdown. All of those posts are essentially broken now (including the FAQs thread not showing table of contents [alongside me having to probably update the contents to the new site layout]) because it seems that markdown is either disabled or changed. Can someone explain the new markdown so I can fix my more important threads?
Update: trying to fix all the formatting issues that the new site changes brought:
rip original donor badge, but makes sense why it'd be gone, honestly figured they would've removed it when they bought the site like a year or two ago so I'm just surprised it lasted this long
honestly I like this whole UI/site redesign for most things, but it did fuck up my pfp :( RIP
oh drat! the admins might find out about this thread!
Not required, but I'd recommend making it so that either runs competing for a top position (lets say top 5 for example) or under a certain time (like under 9 hours) require video proof. This is good for a.) Making cheating/lying harder b.) Makes a really good resource to learn strategies/routes from top runs.
The 3 week timeframe is for inactive mods. Even if you take 2 years to verify something, if you're very clearly active on the site (to my knowledge) support will not punish you. It is stated in the rules so that runner don't just spam people impatiently nonstop as it's important to recognize that game mods are unpaid humans who do this for fun as well.
you can always just use like tinyurl to share it. so like https://tinyurl.com/srcfaq has the same effect as migrating to a google doc.
