u need to use somewes.com to get the exact time, it also depends on where u grab the axe. at somewes.com u can figure it out u just need an approximate time
also mods can retime it themselves so u really dont have to do it, its completely ur wish
Is Nintendo 2ds Accepted for runs? if no then why not?
@Akrua it saves a framerule
One reason is that they run at a alternative framerate compared to NES etc. Another reason is that some consoles don’t react the same as an NES, an example can be that while playing on an OG NES, Allowed emulator etc. (like all the platforms allowed to speedrun on) when the screen is in the bowser section and when bowser throws too many hammers for the game to handle, it lags whereas in many other consoles (which aren’t allowed) it does not. Take an example of the ‘game and watch’, it isn’t allowed as it runs at an alternative framerate compared to NES. Certain other consoles have other reasons for why they are not allowed. Hope this helped and sry for long paragraph lol
Thanks
How do we retime Super Mario All Stars speedruns?
@Pexxio isnt bbg required to get 4:57?
without fpg strats ofc
Hey @TKO98, you can also use some web-based timers which you don't need to download. You can use them on web, https://one.livesplit.org is 'LiveSplit One' which is what I use as even I don't have access to LiveSplit. LiveSplit One works the same like LiveSplit (I guess) just that you can't set up autosplitter in it. In my opinion you should use it if you can't download timers (there are many like LiveSplit but for download). I hope this helped you :)
@Pexxio thanks lol I just exactly at that time asked why and you answered me, so basically PAL runs on less framerate and that’s why it’s slow am I right?
Is it because it runs on a less framerate or something which makes it slower in timing?
Why don’t we use PAL NES for Any% runs? You can do many glitches which you can’t do on NTSC which save time, so that’s easy timesave then why don’t we use PAL NES to play?
@Pexxio actually I brought my Super Famicom from Japan itself, the fact is that we can’t go to Japan again just to buy a Famicom lol so that is why I wanted to check out if I could use this method.
@roopert83 oh ok! I thought it could run NES games :/ Then guess I’ll only speedrun all stars :|
EverDrive N8 and PowerPak are popular and are used by many runners, Kosmic & Darbian etc. use PowerPak. Miniland & LeKukie etc. use EverDrive N8 so even I’d prefer one of these if I got an opportunity to choose…
(Krikzz.com manufactures Everdrives so you can go to their website for information too)
