easy answer: just dont do it
Honestly i think we should just ban ace outright. I personally think that it would take the fun out of the game. using these glitches would ruin gannonless and all dungeons. SRM would ruin No wrong warp, all dungeons and any%. Allowing these tricks would not make oot a fun or competitive speedgame. im going to start running this game soon and i just dont want to go into all dungeons at this time ( being a N64 1.0 player) when were going from getting all items form their respective dungeons to getting it out of a pot . Even though stale reference manipulation and arbitrary code execution are cool just to mess around with, i think it would negetivly effect oot
Isnt FFPG At the moment PAL only? Also We Still have to Consider The game Running At 5/6 the speed (50Fps/Hz)
Yes, With the Humanly possible strats Currently Found (As of 6/14/19) We Could do 1-1 Fpg, 1-2g, 4-1 Fpg, Blazit ( Replacing Tas-2 With Extra 8-2 Framerule save) 8-1 Fpg, Extra 8-2FR, 8-3 Fpg, And a EXTREMELY solid 8-4
I know 8-2 hasnt been done by a human yet, But i do Belive it is Just barely doable enough To at least Make a spliced run
for some reason when i enter a FF ill play the ocarina and the ''Puzzle solved'' Jingle but the fairy doesnt show up and now the game is softlocked. this happened while i was practicing glitchless and can someone explain? thank you
also input lag is a big factor for retro consoles on modern tvs but with N64 games using the original console i experienced no il at all
not really related but @HunterFlagpoleGlitch how many times have you done fpg if you presumably dont have a nintendo// emulator?
basicaly, you are only alowed to preform button combinations that could be recreated on a original nes controller plus left and right barely save any time
I Think i found out why the bullet bill glitch softlocks on all-stars. What happens in bbg is Mario clips into the base of the flagpole but clips low enough to get pushed but he still triggers the end of the level. The Game requires you to after the level starts counting down, to touch a block and it can be any block. That is why when you jump over the flagpole there is an invisible block next to the door. My point is that many things were fixed in the all stars version such as better Hitboxes and various despawns. My theory is that they changed it so the block that needs to be touched is the wall tile and not the stair texture. One time i triggered it by accident lol in a warpless run
oh that makes sense
its not 100% consistent but i think it works
