Here's a couple cool ones
Chapter 4 hub skip:
Chapter 5 Ganesh interior skip:
It's more like giving people a chance to route out the game and find skips instead of just uploading an optimized run on day one. Routing games is the most fun part of speedrunning for me so I wouldn't want to take that away from anyone. It wasn't really that I needed permission, I just waited until others agreed that the game had been out for long enough.
I'm 20 days late here, but super swim was fixed because it also occurred in multiplayer. I don't think any single player only bugs have been patched since 1.01 (which was released the same time the game launched) unless it was a really bad softlock or crash.
I just recently got the thumbs up for publicly running the game, so I have a video up now. I didn't want to talk about it until I knew it was fine to.
That happened to me once but I was never sure what caused it. It sure makes the beginning of chapter 2 a lot better. I'll have to agree that it should be considered NG+ unless we find a way to trigger it on a brand new file every run though
I found something on stream yesterday that almost works as a cool skip in chapter 2. Maybe someone can find a way to make this work somehow.
The Steam version crashes for me every time I open it, so I'll be sticking to the PS3 version for now
I found another really long hover for you guys. This goes from chapter 19 into chapter 20. I was watching spuds run so I compared this to his and it's like 33 seconds faster than what he did. You'll want to mash quickly for at least some of this airwalk or you will end up too low. The path I took was kinda weird but you can probably go straight to it once you know where to aim.
Oh, and you might not have to start from where I do, but I always ended up too low from other places.
Oh hey, it works This is pretty hard, but it definitely feels somewhat consistent after some practice. The hardest part is jumping right when the ground unloads. If you do this right when entering the area, it should skip the fight where you meet up with Sully and the block pattern puzzle and stuff.
Edit: If you go out of bounds during the fight with sully, all the enemies in the area fall to their deaths and it's actually the greatest thing I've ever seen
So I found a way to launch the camera through walls and hit loading triggers and stuff. Haven't tested it much, but it seems like it could be useful in a few places.
