Since src isn't the most crowded website, it really isn't that hard to get a username of your liking. But what about other websites/games that are WAY more crowded than src?
For example: My name in src is Output. Since output is a pretty common word and it's usually always taken, my username in other platforms would be ActuallyOutput.
For one of the games I speedrun, there's no subcategories. But right now, we're planning on making some. The problem is we don't know how to transfer the already existing runs to those subcategories.
Any advice on how to avoid copyright claims that is caused by the game's soundtrack? Obviously I don't want to mute/replace the audio for certain parts of the run for verification purposes.
Interesting question that accidentally popped out of my head
As you can see, I have red arrows pointing on these little dinky things on top of the controller and that's my current triggers. Any advice on how I should remake the triggers to make them look good?
For me probably is confessing my love to a girl (I'm straight). That also means that I never gotten rejected by a girl before.
I might add more but this is only what I can think of
Just a random thought that went into my head. What happens if someone is caught speedrunning using a cracked version of a game? Do they get banned? Do communities allow it?
By cracked, I mean games that are still available for people to buy, this doesn't include games that went offsale forever.
Answer the question
I'm planning on running this game soon and one disadvantage I have is that I don't have a controller so I can't do some of the skips that require 2 players.
So I would like to request splitting Any% to 1P2C and 1P1C if it doesn't bother the mod or the runners. Thanks!
The maximum amount of time I can usually last in a single session is usually an hour for short games. For games the lasts longer than an hour, I can usually last for as long as the run itself, or I can only crank out very few attempts in a single session.
This is more of a mental problem btw, I still have energy but after an hour, I just became mentally weak to squeeze out more attempts
I just did a casual playthrough of this awesome RPG game that came out recently, and since it's a relatively new game it doesn't have a leaderboard in src yet.
Currently routing is the biggest issue for me since I have never done it before and it's an "RPG" game so the route isn't the most linear.
Is there any advice for a beginner router for me? Plus, I'm doing this alone so if anyone wants to help or contribute, just ask me for the game link.
Which leaderboard/profile page is the most beautiful/well-designed in your opinion?
I have run multiple games on pc and most of them use arrow keys instead of wasd which I'm used to.
I know I can just rebind the keys for the game with a program like AutoHotKey. But I'm curious about how you runners can adapt to playing with arrow keys (unless you have been playing like that since you started playing video games).
Also, some games are just made for arrow keys and are pretty hard to rebind them to wasd without making it uncomfortable for myself at least.
Only Gamecube (including dolphin emulator) runners and PS2 runners are allowed to enter
Requirements:
- A time on the leaderboards in the 1:00:00 - 1:25:00 range
- Have the ability to stream your game on twitch
- Isn't in possession of an OG Xbox or Xbox 360

Hi everyone, I'll be speedrunning this game on an NTSC PS2. Is there any difference between console and pc that I should know since I can't find any sources about this topic.
Are there proper steps for going glitch-hunting? This question just pops out of my mind since I'm really curious about how people find insane glitches. I know that a lot of glitches were founded by accident but how do glitch-hunters prepare themselves for glitch-hunting.
So this is just information I wanted to give out to people who didn't notice the change with the website. I believe that this update was implemented yesterday and the biggest change is that everyone is able to set their own custom theme to the website. You can also put custom badges beside your username and customizing gradient name color. And the best part about it is that it's FREE!
I would also want to state that some people already have this feature enabled for them before, but that is exclusive for people who have donated to the website. I really like the changes made and hope that everybody find this information helpful. And I would also like to thank the site staff for implementing this since a lot of people have been asking about this stuff and it's really nice to see that they read the community posts and take action on what could be done to make the site better.
I don't know how to end this but I just wanna say thank you. -Output
