where are you getting the OG scum version of the game from?

I have the full download from steam is there any reason people are running this with scum for speed puposes???

Ta buddy, yeah pink frogs suck. The despawn on first sewer exit is good. Gonna do more runs as this was done on knackered controller. Got another one today though so all is good.

After speaking with mods about Euro run in NTSC and other things this defo makes sense. There is such a massive difference in the game it kinda needs it. You can shoot through walls, you walk slower, harder to get key spawns due to less aggressive snots and enemies die easier. If you have not played both they feel very different. Would be great to see people getting on the runs. Hope you agree and all enjoy a new challenge.

Dude I even stated I was not calling people out and confessed my own ignorance to understanding the run. Please don't make this wired I also found out that running in NTSC is what makes everything seem super fast. ITS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I think I watched your run like 5 to 10 times to get good ideas for my run. I was just super confused. Try running in PAL and u will see exactly what I mean it was wrecking my brain. If you thought I was being rude please except an apologie that was never my intention.

What do people think about running with these settings? I have been doing runs like this and are starting to question if it's fine or not. What do others think would be good to know.

So @ShiningDragoon looking at this more the best option is to stick with weapon 4 pick up no power ups or down and this will give fastest key drops???? Thoughts

So I have had a very similar feeling @MrPupG and have been thinking about looking into this myself as was really keen on looking a speed improvements but have defo felt that drops have a cycle. Have been thinking about running it slow but the same as I would at speed and noting down drops to see if there is a pattern. I would say defo not mad.....

Thanks for this @ShiningDragoon just spotted the reply, managed to suss this out in the end just by being persistent but great this info is here to help others. I'm gonna make a video just on this to help others may be able to include in resources.... Also gonna do a walkthrough.

So I have had a revelation and realised why everything looked wierd. I was running game in PAL hence why everything looked super slow amd could not work out why people were walking faster and looked like turbo was on............... YAY my brain is officially un melted :-)

That's all cool not trying to call people out or be an arse, just my lack of understanding. By the look of it then I just need to get my mash better :-)

Maybe it's just be but unless there is some serious mash efforst being put in they just look to consistent up to 6th to not be using turbo. Maybe it's just me.p

I have messaged a mod for this group direct and asked about this. As in the rules for this category it says NO TURBO, BEAT THE GAME. So this has to be changed. If it's not gonna take to a site mod as seems silly having a catagory that is just straight wrong. I understand that in a game where some heavy mashing in parts is required that turbo is an option on EMU. But on a console that never had it seems odd as this ends up being an EMU only catagory otherwise. I have also offered to be a mod for this forum.

MrPupG should hold first place time. First person not using turbo. Can we re vet the any% please would re invigorate adding times and running this game as well. THOUGHTS

I've just watched even more and ALL the top runs are using turbo.... Like they are defo using turbo. We need a new category on this leaderboard for real no turbo times as half are not valid. Can any mods advise please.

I agree. I can mash ok but I can't see how current best time is mash. Got to be turbo just for consistency alone. I may be wrong and not calling out people or anything of such at all just curious and trying to work on game strats. But if the form is turbo then.....
