@Heaven_amv autospliter is only worked on older version (1.10 downward) so latest patch will not work (and DL2 run seem dead so ... ASL owner may not update it so soon until run is alive)

@Purr about non-category: yup, i do it a lot of it (w/ difference patch). but that's depend to mods if NG+ is necessary to add it or not? (even if someone not me doing NG+ or Non-Category, they may not add some category or leave it like that)

wuddub today i'm here to talking about "how to request for new DL2 Category?"

because runners around here like to see something "new" like ... other category like NG+, Low%, All Collectibles, 100% Run, or even weird category like Suicide%, Kill Hakon%, No Jump% (which who da hell is gonna do that?)

but there ... is a wall, a wall that prevent people to request that, you know why?

there is a rule, the rule is call "2 Runners Rule"

here is story: so people here have conversation about this before (and also in DL Discord Server), and here is what's super modulator said ...

"because we add new category by popularity (meaning is ... main category that's interesting to runner, or mostly runner might wanna speedrun that), to add new category in this leaderboard, you must have 2 runners to speedrun it to prove that"

after this word later, still no clarify about how to do that? "for sure"

so ... yeah, i got better idea to do that, but it's pretty "DUMB" idea, you think you wanna do that?

... here is how to:

1. make sure "you" and "your friends" got difference run video w/ same category for request (MUST BE FULL RUN, and NOT your same video, and that isn't category that's already put it in leaderboard) note ... for better chance, you need 3-5 runner for this
2. join DL Discord Server ... here > https://discord.gg/USEdqYZ note ... be sure to talk about this in #General Channel (if w/o DM)
3. aim to ping or DM to @ Super Moderator ( recommended to ping or DM this man > @ AussieGG ) note ... please ping him and pat him w/ care, hehe~
4. show your run and your friend run, then add description about this run and reason of why you want to add this category to DL2 Leaderboard?
5. then ... just wait for result ... "if that category you requested and it appeared in DL2 Leaderboard, congratulation (so that you are available to submit your run to that category you just requested)"

but if you have no friends and don't know how to find friends to make run for this new category, here is my "DUMB" advice ...

"just join DL Discord Server, then try to ask if someone who're wanna do this (they may interesting) or try ping someone w/ @ Runner role (not anyone w/ this role will wanna make run for this)"

wuddup. today i got some little advice for speedrunners who want to pick DL2 for speedrunning

because recently techland update DL2 a lot (since i'm speedrun DL2 like a lot too), and patch update more likely "to nerfs and patch" any stuffs in this game and make it more "glitchless" and more "difficult to speedrun"

so, if you want to speedrun this game, here is my suggested patch for speedrunning in this game "and which is good too, because some not nerfed and not patched too much".

here is a details, just simple details (and i'm not going to explain more details because i'm not good w/ that)

• 1.0.6 (Old Pach) which got many glitches and skip that can do so easily.
• 1.3.0 (Current) most routing is patched and some glitch (like buypass glitch) isn't working anymore "but this patch, zombies and weapons boost for ledge boost and melee hit boost is not nerfed (but nerfed on patch 1.6.0+ upwards) which is good to speedrun", and ... yeah you'll see some weird glitches in this patch too.
• 1.10.2 (Current) this patch nerfed a lot on zombie (it more likely to grab you), also melee hit speed (which is hard to do for melee ledge boost and hit boost), for NG Run maybe rough.

heheheh~ but only me that current speedrunning DL2 NG+ rn (also another categories) "and it's funny to speedrun that NG+ XD" and i highly need that category q(≧▽≦q) (also another categories too)

i got request from runner (that current speedrunning this game)

and notice that run on Any% - Normal Mode it's look suspect

so i did double check on his run, and here is my result ...

"that run by patchata is missing 1 level (Any% should be 16 levels, but that run got 15 levels)"

also that run playing on easy mode, which isn't right category

so that run is now ... rejected

wuddup, today i got some news for rules change for Delta Force Xtreme 1 & 2

since there's got some runner wanna speedrun these game, but rule for each categories look like ... weird

so i come back here and review for a while, then ... seem need to be change for little bit

here is what's change ...

• [ All Missions ] you can now pick any mission to the end as you like "but must clear all of missions in these game"
• [ for Each Campaign ] you can pick any mission to the end as you like too "same as above but for each campaign"

and time start and stop is no need to change

also timer in these run should be ... RTA

wuddup. i really wonder about i try to rebinding key to press previous song (to toggle menu and go to message menu) because when i try to press Fn + Previous Song (2 button at same time) seem little annoying, also when press save & load (F8 / F9) sometime i mistake press some wrong button so that kill my run sometime (also sometime you will leave your hand from mouse to press these button).

also when i try to edit user.ini, seem no clue to change previous song key to other key

so how about this? i have mapping software for rebinding key to toggle menu "replace previous song to other button instead" and rebinding save & load to forward & back (mouse button)

"may handy if use this to rebinding some other game if those game dat can't rebinding to other key as you want"

so how's you think? it seem fair? if not, please suggest me to another way about this. thx

@Output Oh ... that's new for me but i always "turn-off run ahead" for fair run. (i never know before 'cause i finding some forum about allowed emulator but i can't find some useful.)

@Laxxus My emulator is not lagging and framerate stay at 60fps (no drop framerate / idk if happen because Vsync?). but about EverDrive/PowerPak ... if this is original why framerate of EverDrive/PowerPak so little fast than Mesen do?

i'm testing in this NES game name "Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu (J/U)" i'm try to run at stage 1 (Using Mesen) and run without losing frame (or maybe losing some frame). Run with EverDrive do around 3:18 (103% Mesen Emu Speed)/ Run with PowerPak do around 3:22 (101% Mesen Emu Speed)/ Run with Mesen do around 3:24 (whatever i try ... still around 3:24 ... weird).

Second game is "Jackal (U)" if you're play this game before you know how laggy is it. when i try practice at stage 1 (Mesen with timer) and compare with WR "i'm far around +5 sec (when reach to boss zone)" when i run as same way as they do ... i'm still far +5 sec. so i look closely at how laggy in his run and "try to overclocking around 40-50 (value)" what is happen is "from start to boss zone ... used time around +50 sec".

if you wanna know how different you might try by yourself.

i'm still investigate and test with some nes games and compare with other runs so i wanna know i'm wrong ... or not?
