That's not what I'm asking for though, I like having notifications for most of my games, it just sucks when that interferes with the more pressing notifications.
One thing that I've noticed recently that's becoming a struggle is missing out on forum posts or other more infrequent notifications, because other notifications like "new run submitted" or "new wr/your pb was beaten" will push out the more important notifs in the notifications tab, especially if you aren't checking the site multiple times throughout the day. Having to sift through the messy notifications page every time just in case is not ideal at all.
Can we get some form of filtering or color-coding to make this easier? I've missed out on multiple game forums posts because of this and from an outside perspective it seems to be a no-brainer to have this implemented already.
It wouldn't be allowed, as it is a Event vehicle. I will update the rules to list it, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
It is specifically when you press play on the main menu. Pressing restart/play again in the pause menu/end of run menu will make us add approx. 1.2s onto the time to compensate for the faster start.
Not the best timing method obviously, but this game doesn't exactly make it easy to have a consistent timing method for all categories...
Apologies for not getting to this forum post yet, it seemed to have been buried under various other notifications on SRC, and there still is no option to filter through them for only forum posts.

The website provided is the one I've seen run the most, seems fairly accurate from my knowledge. The Web platform can only play clones anyways, and previous moderators have allowed clones far less accurate than this in the past. If you have a more accurate clone for Web players, feel free to link me one. If you want a genuinely competitive category, feel free to get the original game running on emulator or on actual hardware. I am simply here to maintain the boards as they were when I received supermod, and I would have done things differently if these boards were brand new.

According to site rules, moderators have 21 days to verify runs in their queue before it becomes a problem. You can read about these rules in the Knowledge Base here under the "Moderator Activity" section: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/moderation-rules . It is my goal to not keep runs in queue for very long, however I can be fairly busy with uni at times, so it may be difficult to get to verifying longer submissions in a timely manner, however I will always get them done before those 21 days. According to verification history, the longest your submissions have been in queue was for 8 days.
If the way the boards are currently being run is a genuine issue, I will look into ways to improve it.
I retimed a few times, either got 1:20.000 or 1:20.017. Very unfortunate :(
With @MrYoshiCraft 's 5000m run using this tech, here is how to reproduce it:
Activate both head starts in quick succession. I typically activate the purple one first and then the blue one, as that is what works for me. The other way around probably also works, but I cannot confirm that. Key word is quick succession. You have at most a few frames to press both of them to make it work. On mobile it's a bit tricky, but you can get it fairly consistent once you get the timing down.
I will update this thread soon with a video of me doing it on iOS + Touch Controls to show the timing window. Time saved with this trick is unknown, but it definitely has potential.
Nice run! I was wondering how long it'd take for somebody to get missiles in the beginning.
Follow-up to a previous post: I've now added No Coins and (quickest) Death to the boards.
Personally I would rather avoid creating actual high score categories such as that, as high score based submissions are listed in game request rules as not allowed (regarding new games, not new categories). I am generally open to survival based categories though (see Subway Surfers), as previously stated I've been given the go ahead on those. These would then be time-based, not score-based.
I will probably add a No Coins category in the near future. I was given the go ahead a while ago by an Elo Staff Member that I'm allowed to create it, I just haven't implemented it yet.
Getting S.A.M. as fast as possible would be cool if it wasn't for the fact that it's only once per day. Won't be adding it for this fact.
Quickest Death would just be boring as it most likely has an easy WR cap assuming you reset enough. I will potentially add it though, as it wouldn't require too much extra effort in comparison to other categories.
