The Super Mario Series thing is a train wreck not based on any official reasoning ever. It's not a terrible category, but the list of games is completely arbitrary. The handheld series isn't a thing, but the handheld Super Mario games and NSMB, NSMB2, SM3DL, and if you count remakes SM64DS.
Edit: yeah SML is a thing too I'm a moron.
Last Legacy: Null Space (the second game in the series; the first one has another runner) Go Diego Go: Safari Rescue An MC custom map based on portal Sketch's World Division GT and the Evil Factory I'd put a crappy game I made where you roll a ball for one minute but someone else actually ran that. And got WR.
RR isn't possible, TTC and LLL are. BM probably isn't but might be. Note that everything is possible if you use the Infinite Luigi Triple Jump.
I'm pretty sure there was like a 15ish minute RSG co-op run.
Maybe I'm just off a digit though.
I agree that SM64DS is more than a remake, however I am going by http://www.nintendo.co.jp/mario30th/history/index.html# to determine what games are in the Super Mario series, which does not include SM64DS.
2:55:26, last couple seconds of the run are cut off because OBS crashed.
We're moving 10 star to www.bit.ly/SM63Leaderboard . I was wondering if 9 Star (No Bowser 1 Early / Skip) is too arbitrary and should be kept on the google doc, or if it's reasonable enough to keep it on the leaderboards. http://strawpoll.me/6086312
I'm in EST, although we can edit the schedule if not-muricans want to relay. Mario Maker doesn't include amiibo costumes because those require internet access I think. You don't need to do any 100 Challenges or Event Courses, you just need to get everything else you can. Basically I'm saying, get everything you can with a dataless Wii U, a game disc, no amiibo, and no internet access. I'm gonna do a SMM 100% this Wednesday just to make sure I know exactly what the definition is. I think it's just 10 Mario Challenge + NWC 2015, and maybe the fly swat minigame or something like that.
I'm planning a Super Mario Series 100% Relay. Anyone who is interested can participate. People who actually run games are welcome, especially since I don't run all of them OpieOP http://bombch.us/BpI0
Hai I'm the guy who responded a lot on reddit. I might do a similar thing, restricting it to only the Super Mario series specifically instead of any Mario game. And I'd do all of them, and allow sleep breaks. So basically not the same thing at all. If you want to form a group of people I'd be happy to do it, although I don't know if I can dedicate 72 hours to it.
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/mario30th/history/index.html# This is the Super Mario Series, based off an official source from Nintendo. It includes handhelds, excludes Yoshi's Island, and includes Super Mario Maker.
Weren't the emails supposed to be confidential? I can see some people's emails.
Go to the romhacks section ( http://www.speedrun.com/mc/romhacks ), it has custom maps there.
Number four should be a dirt block Kappa xddd
Skipping is in the game, it should be allowed. It's RNG based anyway, people might reset whenever they see levels that look like it'll take more than 30 seconds to beat.
I would say not until you get a good time, but I'm not an authority.
