Changes I would consider to this route are:

1. Remove the beggar from Minoc(would have to re-route the manip after that) to give you 6 beggars at Serpent's Hold instead of 5. Both are about the same speed but this gives you one extra battle which could add some more consistency to the 49 required random battle count.

2. Squish Energy Energy (72 mana) on the Doppelganger fight is way more consistent but I was gambling.

3. The manip is not required but saves 3:30 or so and requires you to prep your bow before the run, as well as hitting a frame perfect start input on a musical cue. If you don't want to do all this you can just run the old route that goes Trinsic->Moonglow Black Stone->Jhelome pick up Geoff->Skara Brae pick up Shamino->Minoc (check one of the other runs on the leaderboard)

I recommend learning on emulator at least so you can see all the hidden stats and step counters, as well as the US version so you get a feel for the menus. J version text saves a good 6-7 minutes.
