I have been appointed as mod for this game, and I think the timing rules need to be clearer. I'd welcome thoughts from runners on this as well as any other stuff related. I have direct messaged a couple of runners whose runs were never verified to include them on this, but for now I have verified their runs as-is. In the next few days once we discuss this I think it would be in order to retime existing runs for consistency. Thanks!
I had no responses about retiming so this week I'm going to look at new timing rules that are far clearer for runners to understand, and will be retiming all runs to the same start/endpoints.
Further, if anyone is interested in becoming a mod let me know below! I'd be happy to explain the work to anyone who hasn't done this before so please don't be afraid to volunteer.
Changelog: 10/11/22 -Removed guide posts and decided appropriate runner-friendly start/endpoints for timing.
11/11/22 -Edited rulesets and analysed screen transition frame times for consistency. All Death and Tetris runs retimed. -Changed URL to https://www.speedrun.com/tetris_adventure which is much neater.
The board has now been retimed using clear start/endpoints.
LanceLincoln's runs are removed as they were slowed down. While this was not advantageous, it breaks a fundamental principle of speedruns.
Apologies to AmnesiaSilence! Your death run was WR for a long time but was not properly timed until now. The board now uses a discrete change of on/off black character screen area rather than a very hard to discern fade in/out, so that can't be repeated.
I still want interested runners to volunteer to mod, and I'd welcome suggestions for other categories. Thanks!
