This shouldn't be a thing, because then every Mario Party game should just allow that and they don't. This needs to be banned or just moved to a misc category and not a main category. Also people shouldn't have to pay to speedrun a main category, that's pretty messed up.
@1upGirlXaltis i think that 1p2c is only allowed in multiplayer catagories, if im wrong then i agree with you that they shouldn’t exist but only in singleplayer catagories.
i think it should be a different category then. Maybe 1P4Joycons or something like this. Otherwise its unfair to submit it in the multiplayer category, because its obviously harder to speedrun it with 3 other people instead of one guy holding 4 joycons in his hands lul (im talking about the river survival thing)
@RicoDexter It is hard to control 4 controllers at once, other than paddling. It requires far more time and effort to do well with multiple controllers than it does to run with multiple people. However, i don't think multiple controllers should be allowed in all gems because that is flat out unfair.
I think all gems should have a multiplayer catagory if multiple controllers are allowed in it. Otherwise @blueYOSHI gets a huge advantage since he is god himself. And also u could control ur parnter in parnter party and 1 AI in all boards which ins't allowed for all boards.
My opinion is that multiple controllers should be either banned or moved to a subcategory, exceptions being River Survival (which already has a Multiplayer subcategory) and Partner Party (which only allows 1/2 controllers, and a Switch comes with 2 anyway).
If there is enough interest in 1P4C we could add a subcategory for Multiplayer runs, currently I can't see too much interest in one tho'.

@RicoDexter and @blueYOSHI apparently it has been decided that there is no subcatagory for multiple controllers, it is simply stated similar to gold/normal oars. So anyone with a 1 controller WR won't show up once a 2 controller run is WR in essence.
We need community uproar to overrule this. I will gather support hopefully in the next 3 or so days so we can get it properly set up.
