I finally managed to get a new PB! This time I'm replicating the ending from ふぁじい's 8.55 run. It turns out it's actually not that hard, even pretty reliable to pull off. The difficulty on this level is pretty much everything leading up to the ending, but once you nail the hook high up in the corner it's usually going smoothly. It's still not free and will take several attempts to get it right but it's much easier than before. The early game in this run wasn't that fast, so I think I should be able to at least get one more PB next time and push for 8.6X run, then I probably need to learn the hook start.
