But essentially, you can time the 2 jumps with the vertical black lines in the background and then the last jump is between the 1st 2 lines of the the section with the tree and rocks to jump up. If you can time the punch right, you can knock off that troll without losing any time.

I got a sub 31 split for the 1st level, which was pretty rare, but now it seems is doable if you can get the timing consistent, which is why I like using the lines as reference, but not necessary just personal preference.

I should mention this is for the most common (crappy pattern) of the 3 patterns this guy does.

The other 2 patterns (where he turns around at the edge and where he just falls off) are much easier to deal with, so they dont require any additional strats.

One last thing, if you just a little early (last jump with punch) you can kill the troll but fall just short of the rock and then get caught and lose a bunch of time. That's another reason I like to use the lines as a reference.
