Would you say that the PS3 versions -the American and the European (I haven't tested the Japanese), have the slowest performance of all? (and between these two the PAL is even slower) Because I played a little the game on a PAL PS One (2000 version) console and I noticed right away how quickly you pick up the items! PS2>PS1>PS3. Something like that perhaps? But fast from the aspect of performance only, not IGT. Right? Or...
Correct, by about 1-2 mins depending on PS1 model. SCPH-10X (PS one) also seems faster than SCPH-100X-900X (PSX), needs more testing among models though.
Sony POPS emulator is the fastest for RTA (PSP/Vita/TV) + PS2 PopStarter (not official/allowed)
No affect on IGT, WR is currently set on a PS one.
Also there is no JP version on PSN, you'd have to use a disc.
More relevant performance concerns are not loads, but responsiveness (latency with HDMI/emulation) and framerate (the framerate is less stable outdoors on PSP emulation). Unless you are playing in a marathon setting where real time is a concern, your platform of choice isn't a huge deal.
Going forward we will be requiring a visible IGT timer on submissions performed on emulator, using one of the IGT scripts available under the "Resources" tab for your emulator of choice. Most people already do this, but we're making it mandatory to make run verification easier. Thank you for your un
