yesterday, i tried beating supershape's insane 100% skips wr (~ 1hr 43mins), but i fumbled so bad that i was actually SLOWER (~ 1hr 46mins) than my previous wr (~ 1hr 45mins) lmfao

the sand castle rounds were an absolute mess and the blast off rounds were no good. the deep blue sea rounds went actually decently, so bc of that i had an idea:

theres leaderboards for all 3 worlds round 1, 3 worlds rounds 1+2, and of course 100%

but why not have leaderboards for each world, like sand castle 100%, blast off 100%, and deep blue sea 100%? instead of doing runs involving all 3 worlds you just focus on all 3 rounds in 1 world (obvi that would mean the bfg version cant be used for these since it doesnt have the 3rd rounds)

tho i would think, to make it fair(?), each speedrun for each world would probably have to be from different save files

im in favour of this, seems like a pretty natural modification to this game's page here. the categories would have a nice sense of completeness to them despite only being a third of the game each, and'd also be a good incentive for practice purposes as well. i'd've made this change myself right away upon reading this post, if not for this being the only CD-Rom I SPY game i've run of which i'm not a moderator of for whatever reason. just gonna have to wait until the other two mod lads see this and take the time to implement it and such

also, a minor thing i wanted to mention while i'm here without endeavoring to create a separate thread for it: i would think it to be swell if the names for the individual level categories were changed to their actual official names (as mentioned in the manual). nowhere in said manual does it say 'Space World', 'Underwater World', or 'Medieval World'; they're instead referred to as 'Blast Off', 'Deep Blue Sea', and 'Sand Castle'. as each of the manual names are directly lifted from the names of the book scenes they're based off of, i feel the current titles of which they parade on this site have an air of arbitrarity to them, and in some way suggest that these three themes were picked only just upon creating the game, and lack any further lineage

Categories have been added and level names have been changed. Also added 1st & 2nd Time category to match the full game board (and for the convenience of Big Fish runners).

I can give you mod if you want it, Supershape. I think I just didn't consider asking you if you wanted mod and instead expected you to ask me for it. Probably a mistake on my part my bad
