After seeing how large of an undertaking the change from Twitch Highlights to Youtube Videos is for the community, we would like to add some convenience options to the submission process.
First, users can now submit multiple update sheets via our Google Form
This should allow runners to make manageable lists for themselves, and organize differently, should they decide to. As always, please do not edit/change a sheet after submission unless you reach out to a Team Lead, as it may already be in the process of being updated.
Second, to clarify, the original video is not required but preferred. When updating a submission on SRC, we will make a notation denoting if both videos were present, or if the original was already deleted. We will work through the update process quickly to help alleviate storage issues, once we get your sheet via the Google Form.
Lastly, we'll be removing our form submission deadline. We still encourage users to get their forms in as quickly as convenient but video updates will be available past the original deadline. If you are over the Twitch Highlight Limit, remember your Highlights will be deleted on April 19, 2025. If possible, and if you are over the limit, try to get enough highlights submitted by Saturday, April 5 to avoid missing videos.
This has been a huge issue across not only the PlateUp speedrun community, but all speedrun communities. With everyone's help, and patience, we will continue working on this process and preserve our speedrun history.
Thank you,
The PlateUp Speedrun Team
