Hi, I'm a new runner and I have some times I'd like to submit but am unsure what I'm looking for with the "timebug" that sometimes gets mentioned. What exactly am I looking for to determine whether or not my runs were affected? I don't have RTA set up, so I'm only going off of IGT here. Also, what happens if I mark a run as having timebug but then it doesn't, or vice versa? I'm afraid to submit my times before I know for sure, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
As I've been watching more runs, is it the delay between crossing the finish line and the splash screen at the end of the race? Or is there something else I'm missing?
It isn't something that you need to worry about in terms of the run or submission itself. The timer is tied to the server, which causes the timer to desync and display a different time from what you actually achieved; it keeps going when it shouldn't, the race finish screen shows up at different times, etc. We manually retime runs and input the correct time.
That's good to know in the future, thank you. So should I only worry about marking down the IGT in my submission?
Yeah just write down IGT and don't worry about it, even if you retimed it yourself we'd have to verify it again
