I ran the ps3 version so im not sure what to tell you, but i did play the ps2 version and there wasnt to much difference even in the load times, but that was snake eater not sub :)

I will try to speedrun on Snake Eater NTSC-US Extreme. I don't have Subsistence, nor a PS3/Xbox 360. I will try to find a Subsistence disc ^^ I think that NTSC for the PS2 is faster than PAL, but I cannot tell you. Japanese would be faster due to faster text ? But English is a good choice.

hiya! i'm kinda new to this but i was thinking off speedrunning the 3ds version, just to see if there are any changes in strategy. has anyone tried that one?

hmm, I have the 3ds version and i would think maybe there is because of the crouch walking and maybe because of how the camo can be anything you take a picture of so there probably is. Would be interesting to see lol.

yeah, and it's possible that some of peace walker's glitches made it in the game ( i think it's the same engine, could be wrong u.u''). The only negative thing i can think of it's the lag at some points of the game. I'll try to mess around with the idea though x)

I think they are somewhat similar but there isn't many glitches in peace walker so it is hard to compare them. For the mgs3 3ds version, it will be tested soon hopefully :)

3DS Version Slowest, PS2 Version PS3 Version fastest. (This is the main reason Hikari speed runs on PS3, also he just got in 1 hour 12 minute speedrun so...not going to be any competition for a while...I hope ;-) )

By the way, you can do a glitch in Krasnogorje in SE PS2, it saves 4 minutes (afaik). Not sure if this is allowed.
