i have done over 100 runs and I can't find the stronghold, I know it's huge rng but is there a certain y level or range I can dig to to know when my run should be reset?
make sure to do sprinkz strats when digging down for the stronghold. If your stronghold happens to not generate beneath a village, remember that the eye of ender points to the (2,?,2) sub-coordinates within the chunk and that you need to dig down at the (4,?,4) sub-coordinates within a chunk. If you are doing double travel just put ur portal at y<24 or smth
Strongholds also only spawn with higher cords, 550,10,0 for instance, your x or z coordinate have to be at least 550 for a stronghold to spawn, the prime cords though are typically 1000-1500. I hope that makes sense.
