Why be fast, when you can be lucky? That was evidently the mantra for this run, even though it was not my intention. This very well could have been the sub-5: it had the trifecta, somehow, and a wonderful 2nd portal into the stronghold. Everything about this run was perfect...but almost none of it was perfectly executed. To list a few errors: I couldn't find the cleric, I messed up a dupe, I forgot to grab flint, I had an encounter with a silverfish, I wasted my pearl on the dragon... need I continue on? As a result, my record is only a record by a measly 5 seconds--and as nsla's 4:16 RSP run shows, it could be so much better. I know very well that nsla will get a sub-5 in about 12 hours after I upload this, but I will hold onto this fleeting WR regardless! This is my first 1.8 ERS WR, and as a result I've held 3/4 RS WRs at one point (1.9+ ERS is not happening, sorry). This was a pretty fun grind and I hope to keep playing glitched. This is my first RS WR in over a year, and my first leaderboard eligible one in 2.5, but I don't want it to be my last. As always, I am still not done. GG.
