I added 2 new speedrun categories for Neo W.E. Listed as follows:
- Any%
- Restricted
It is good practice to open your Death Bag for a few seconds prior to starting of the run, but no longer required. This affects:
- Battle to the Top
- Tengoku (Excluding Gold Rush 100F)
- NEO D.O.D.
For Tengoku categories 150F, 200F, 250F, 300F, and 351F. Runners are allowed to pause the timer and have a break from the run. Under the following guidelines:
- Maximum of 4 breaks within an 18 hour pool.
- Each break starts at every 5th floor and use a Solo Shelter.
- Each break ends when you go into the Escalator to the next floor and then press "Next Area".
Removed ''Dying Invalidates the Run" for the following categories:
- Battle to the Top
- Tengoku
- Neo D.O.D.
- 44CE Boss Rush
Removed the following sub-categories from the 44CE Boss Rush:
- Normal

Hello Runners,
I'd like to announce some rule changes to all the speedruns going forward. These have been newly established together with the Let it Die community over on discord. Theres also 2 new categories.
Categories
52F-350F Tengoku
Some extra dedicated people wanted to have this, so here it as. As opposed to any other existing account category, this run may actually be segmented, and revives are allowed indefinitely.
Neo D.O.D.
Follows the same rules as 52F-100F Tengoku. Though of course this is far more challenging. It also should be a more competitive scene than Tengoku due to the consistency in boss fight/pit fluctuations.
Rules
Decals and equipment limitations
All decal limitations have now been simplified to "Only decals from the Kill stew, TDM bags and "Ultimate fighter returns" are allowed." This bans any and all old collab decals, such as Sylvia. UFR is the only exception to this rule due to high demand. Back when this decal was introduced, it was absolutely cracked and a must-have in any build. These days theres a lot more powerful and better decals, so its god-like status has dwindled. Thus it was decided that it's fine to use this decal.
As for equipment, the same thing hapenned. Where it is now "Only equipment permanently obtainable in the tower, hernia machine or seasonal TDM bags is allowed." The only exception to this is the 52F-100F Gold Rush and The 4 forcemen boos rush elitist category. Which have some specific gear rules due to their nature.
General cleanup/ simplification of rules
Some rules have been rewritten and made simpler. Hopefully its a lot easier to read now!
V-Sync
All PC runs now must have V-synch shown to be enabled prior to starting any run. V-Sync caps the game to 60FPS. The reason for this is that Let It Die was built for this limit. Currently, stronger pcs who reach higher FPS, have faster load times. And if your FPS gets really high, it will mess with the physics and cause unintended exploits in some cases.
The community has decided to let the current runs stay on the leaderboard, at least for the foreseeable future. But going forward all runs must use V-Sync.
Hello Runners,
3 New categories have been added.
-
Dropkick-only (subcategory under 1F-41F Base game) The gimmick here, as the title says it is that you can only use dropkicks to progress. It will be interesting to see what you all can achieve with a totally different playstyle.
-
Gold Rush (subcategory under 52F-100F Tengoku) Inspired by the introduction of the Assault Force G set. We've added a run where you're only allowed to use golden gear. Which ones exactly can be viewed in the rules. Stay fabulous and shiny runners!
-
Elitist (subcategory under 4 Forcemen Boss Rush) An even tougher forcemen category where eating and healing is not allowed. And you gotta stick with the same armor set. This was suggested by runner Oberlinx.
Hello Runners,
Some of the rules have been removed or changed for existing account categories. Mostly to make everything more open and cause more intense competition! A lot of these rules were set in place when the Run For Your Life Community Event started. In which a more leveled playing field was required, but since that is no longer the case. The rules have opened up. Below are all the changes. Good luck running Senpais!
For ALL existing account categories, the following rules have been removed:
- Bringing golden shrooms or beasts is banned. Finding them during a run is allowed.
- You can only equip a maximum of 5 decals on your fighter. (This rule was only applicable to 1-40F category)
- Using dropped gear from hunters during the run is banned. (This rule was only applicable to 1-40F category)
For ALL existing account categories, the following rules have been changed (mostly just for clarity).
- Using shrooms related to an ongoing event during the run is not allowed. Changed to
- Using Snowcap or Pumpkinshrooms is not allowed.
*Buying anything other than barbmeat or Solo Shelter at Choku-Funsha's Hernia machine is not allowed. (Solo Shelters must be canceled, essentially creating the same effect as a successful gamble shroom.) Changed to *You can only buy Barbmeat or Solo Shelter at Hernia Machines during the run. Solo Shelters must be canceled to regain full hp/rage.
- Using uncapped weapons or armor is not allowed. A weapon is uncapped when it reaches Tier 4, stage +5 in R&D. Changed to
- Using uncapped weapons is banned, uncapped armor is allowed. A weapon is uncapped when it reaches Tier 4, stage +5 in R&D. (This rule was only applicable to 1-40F category)
For all categories, all armor and weapon restrictions that had previously been in place like Jackal gear, Uncle Dead set, etc have been lifted. This only applies to permanently available gear.
For all existing account categories, decal restrictions on 5 stars have been lifted. With the only banned one being Ultimate Fighter Returns, as it's the only 5 star that is available for a limited time.
