Hey all, I am not a part of the Hollow Knight speedrun community but was playing tonight and discovered something I thought may be of use. Maybe it's already been found, or not been found useful, but here goes.
I'm in my first playthrough, exploring Greenpath. I was about to fight my ghost from a previous death, with my knight positioned just to the right of a screen transition. I didn't time my hit right, and the ghost hit me into the screen transition. When the transition was over, I had been shot across the map out of bounds, to approximately where the red x is in my screenshot. Unfortunately, this was a soft lock, as my character was running around just below the screen. Unfortunately I didn't capture this, and don't know if it's repeatable. Upon reloading at the Lake of Unn, the area I was apparently slingshot across was now discovered on my map (area between ghost icon and red x).

Oh this is fascinating. What patch are you on and do you know how long your loads are on average? Load warps are known but we usually consider them mostly exclusive to patches before 1.3.
(also you might want to ask glitch questions in #glitched-discussion in the Discord so more glitched runners will see and respond to it :3)
I am playing on patch 1.5.8.11835, which I assume is the most recent patch. Thanks for the response! I will totally update with patch info and repost over there, I've never posted before so I didn't even think to do that!
I actually had a similar thing happen to me too when I was doing the steel soul 100% achievement. I got hit and then I flew really fast across the screen. I didn't clip out of bounds because I went through to the next room, but I was curious too if anyone had seen this happen before
