I was reading the rules and came across something hilarious to me:
"Using two types of controllers at the same time is not allowed. This means you cannot use keyboard and mouse at the same time with a controller. "
Did this ever come up? What's the history behind this rule? Someone using a keyboard mouse and controller at the same time? Lmao. Does my modded wiimote and nunchuck count as one or two controllers?
To do an AFH (the forwards version of an ABH), you need to be pressing S when you land/jump. The problem is, holding down S in the air massively slows you down, so to gain/preserve speed you need to tap S just when you land.
Using a controller, you can basically tape down the stick a bit so you're always inputting a tiny backwards movement. This is enough to trigger AFH, but doesn't slow you down much at all in the air. It takes a lot of skill out of the run (and also gives a blatant hardware advantage), which is why it was banned.
