So a little bit about me: I am NOT a speedrunner, a fan sure, and I dabbled in running here and there but I've got no major accomplishments aside from beating Hades 1 under 10 minutes and Hollow Knight under an hour. I am a big fan though and for Hades 2 - yknow, I wanna dabble again, but this time maybe a bit harder.
So, I looked far and wide for some proper guides but didn't really find anything, so through observations and my own intuition - through the help of the save files available here in the resources tab...
I created this: https://app.milanote.com/1Sav7118Rv3d1k?p=TvIj2E4UDGI
A more or less visual guide to a Hades 2 speedrun setup. Would love to hear what the experts and newbies alike think about this as I'm heavily considering turning it into a full on VideoGuide if I get at least some confirmation that all the stuff I've dotted down actually makes proper sense!
see thats the kind of insight I was hoping to get - the 0 mana thing does make sense, so technically if someone wanted to go with a more beginner friendly setup they can use what i posted as any fear but keep mana at 0 for momus
any clue why fury is prefered on 1 or 2 though? i mean, logically you want stuff to spawn as fast as possible no? at least thats how i remember it being back in hades 1
From what I understand as someone who is not great but watched a few of the best runs, not everyone is convinced that Fury 2 is actually any faster than Fury 1. At least, that is what I heard when watching one of Corvus’ runs, who is currently 2nd on the leaderboard. While vow of fury makes enemies spawn faster, 2 is thought to not make a difference over 1, so some runners don’t use it.
hm! so, in an any fear run it may or may not make a difference - whereas in 32 fear its better to go for lvl2 fury, since fear points, would that be correct?
also, im mostly trying out 32 runs right now, testing a bunch of ideas but have yet to finish a single run - one was damn close to 2nd place time but i fumbled chronos, and it was momus poseidon + hephastus mint condition (impervious for x seconds)
A new leaderboard category: All Weapons, has been added! You can see the rules on its board and get submitting your runs as soon as possible.
All Weapons is a real time category where you try to complete 6 runs in a row with each different weapon as fast as you can, allowing you to demonstrate your
