Does the early patches of the game run quicker than the newer patches? example: if patch 1.27 had 5 extra fps than patch 1.52 on the same hardware.

in speedruns 1.27 is used bcs of some differences such as no waves, faster loading times and some other things

don't really know! But there a lot of advantages having 1.27. DarkViper already made a video about the patch differences! I highly recommend you watch it!
