Yes, if you have not heard the news yet, Extreme-G is available for the NSO+
Just so everyone knows, the switch version may have a few slight differences; the community is still testing out. We welcome discussion in our discord here if you have any opinions on how to fairly incorporate the Switch version into our leaderboards: https://discord.gg/Nsuywrs
For the Series runs, which are real-time categories, we are considering a few options long term that deal with differences in load times between versions:
- A leaderboard split based on version (n64, Switch, Emu)
- Adjusted leaderboards to use the in-game timer instead of the "real time"
- Select a single allowed emulator version/settings combination so there is no discrepancy between load times for emulator (note that load times still need to be tested on switch, so this might not be the ideal choice)
- Keep leaderboards as-is and just accept any differences between versions
For ILs, we should probably also discuss the use of save states within the switch version and whether they should be allowed, especially for FLAP times (ruling currently TBD). If you want to be extra-safe, I recommend not using save states for any IL runs.
I updated the console usage field here on SRC to include NSO+ and we will update the rules here on srcom when we make any rules-related decisions.
I hope if you're considering running this game to give this one a chance! I know it seems like our community has been silent this year but I check almost every day here to see if anyone submits runs.
We hope with this addition to see more runners moving forward!

Fellow XG1 crew, the leaderboards now total the IGT (in-game-timer) total lap time for every series run pb, so that we may compare runs across different versions of the game (64, switch, and ANY emu) without having to resort to timing issues relating to the load time discrepancies between versions.
