So I have been laying out a new game run but my question is cause I watched a video on the run he said he was full glimmer does this count cause it will determine if I can buy ammo synthesis and certain weapons at certain times cause I believe new game it should be all 0 in my opinion.

i would agree with you on that one as we starting a new game with no other characters we would start with 0 glimmer and buying heavy ammo sins and special ect... would get rid of the whole point of starting from scratch. So in my opinion i would say that the run that you watched would be invalid for the category that you are specifying. So long as he doesn't use the glimmer it's okay however if you start off with zero glimmer you can buy weapons and a green sparrow. I didn't watch the whole thing I just checked his mission times, if he used his glimmer at all the run is invalid. Even so his time is far from optimal, the routing I did was just as fast and I wasted a good half hour trying to figure out what gives a good chunk of exp for the time played.

TL;DR - Go to zero glimmer if you know you'll end up buying guns and zoomy zoomies from the tower. (Which you should be doing)

I have an answer for this. Just have an alt account for NG runs. you're guaranteed to start with 0 glimmer and there's no worrying about spending all your glimmer and needing it for a real character later. You wouldn't make a new account every run but you would just use that 2nd account for NG only and not care what else is done to it. If you have PS Plus or Xbox gold you should have no issues with using a 2nd account and not being able to do some things.

I already have a new account for this I already ran the game and beat the time by a lot but didn't show my splits so I will be redoing this again ;)
