if I chose to do the collector ending would that matter? Since there are no rules defined for this category?

Not sure which ending you mean, but if it's a legitimate ending then I don't see anything wrong with it. I am interested myself if it is faster. I was thinking about doing the ending on the right but there is a period after you click the eye where you can still move before it ends.
