Aqua Jumping

Similar to Burn Jumping in Blaster Master Zero 2, you can ride the momentum of an Aqua Shift by jumping at the right moment while leaving directional controls neutral. Unlike the Burn Jump, however, there is no way to keep that momentum without hovering. Once Sophia hits the ground, she immediately returns to driving speed no matter what. If you turn in mid-air, you will lose some of that forward momentum but you will not be thrown in the opposite direction. You cannot air brake by moving forward either. The timing window for this technique is weird: jump too early and you'll stall in place. It's best to jump after the Aqua Shift animation starts for maximum speed and consistency.

Blast Dashing

You can gain extra distance if you Spin dash and Reflex Striker at almost the same time. Activate your Spin Dash as an enemy attacks and then use the counter immediately after. It is easiest on a controller to flam the two buttons in a single upward swipe. This technique can possibly be combined with Unchained Effector and Vivid Sensor.

Ladder Technique

You can quickly ascend any ladder by holding up and jumping rapidly. Timing each jump to happen at the peak of the previous jump might be the fastest way of doing this trick.

Multi Leg Speed

The Multi Leg is slightly faster than Sophia's normal driving speed. This difference seems to be around 0.05 and 0.1 seconds at top speed. It takes about 0.25 seconds to activate the Multi Leg, which can nullify this advantage in most cases.

Obtaining the Good Ending

This game is unique to all others in the series in that collecting every item will not guarantee the good ending. In fact, 200% Completion of the game (collecting every single item, including temporary ones) doesn't even meet the requirement. In order to trigger the Good Ending cutscene you must have traversed an estimated 290 screens of Super Dimensional Space by the time you beat Bloodstained Planade G. A "screen" is a 2x2 unit square on the Map. These screens do not all have to be unique, meaning you can backtrack through previously activated SDS screens to meet the requirement.

97%     - 214
200%  - 266

Rapid Fire

You can increase your damage output by mapping a weapon to your shortcuts and firing with two or even three buttons at the same time. Jason has a hard limit on both number of shots on screen and number of shots before cooldown, which nerfs this trick considerably. You can achieve good results by mapping certain guns to the shortcuts which are different to the gun on the fire button (Wave and Diffusion, for example).

Sophia can still fire as fast as you can spam with this method. When using the crusher shots, a max of three blasts can be on the screen at any time. Anti SF Ammo is not counted for this limit, although a max of one ASF Bullet can be on the screen at any time. Rain Cluster cannot be combined with the other main weapons in any meaningful way. Something interesting does happen if you try to use Rain and Crusher at the same time though.
