I didn't see a leaderboard category for this so I went ahead and made a route for this particular speedrun:

Here's an official run before certain changes were applied to Group 4 and Boss Fight strats. RTA time is 2:08:42; In-game time is 1:50:05.

Splits have since been updated to include boss fights but idk how to share it lol. Please share any strategies that may enhance this particular category's efficiency. Thanks!
I tried running under the same conditions.
-Rescue all survivors
-Ignore Cletus and the bomb collector truck Carlito
-Time ends with Ending A
You no longer need to earn PP by taking photos to level up. You only need to take photos of vents and outtakes
When rescuing group 2, I used a wall-passing glitch (bike zip). If I didn't use it, it would take +50 seconds to 2 minutes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3US4G_ZBqM RTA Time is 1:47:23 LRT in 1:34:14
Nice time brother gonna have to check out that run later and change up the route notes to match! Maybe check out the bike zip glitch too as I have never done it before haha
Thanks! If you're in a speedrun server on Discord, check out the DRDR thread! It explains how to do the glitch lol
There is a Discord invite link at the top of this SRC screen, next to the DRDR category banner.

Appreciate you man imma check out ur run more and start learning the bike trick :p Best of luck on ur future runs! :)
Btw just got finished updating the route while watching your run! Really nice stuff man :) I have a strategy for Cliff I put in the docs because it makes that fight about 30 seconds if done correctly practiced it all yesterday might put up a video about it soon
Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out how to fight Cliff because I don't really understand the conditions for him to stun me.
I ended up doing a run with your route and got a 1:54:07! Beat my old PB by about 15 minutes :)
Cliff fight is at 49:30 btw - https://youtube.com/live/dHFLoGaFgSY
The fight took 48 seconds but it could be faster with better timing to rev on whiffs cuz I kept messing up lol. In practice, I had him beat in about 25 seconds with real good luck.
Basically you want to bait an attack from him and switch Mini Chainsaw with a Big Chainsaw. Sometimes if you're close enough and he does a dodge you can ready the Big Chainsaw when you pick it up; if not, bait an attack again to rev it. Just keep doing moving attacks on him while making him whiff to win.
Sometimes, you can kill him fast enough so he doesn't run into vents as long as you keep baiting him. If he stands there, you can pretty much win the fight free as long as you keep circling around him with moving attacks. I've also found that if you predict when he's going to run into vents, you can keep up with him, as you get a tiny speed boost when the chainsaw is revved.
Got a new record for you to beat giga!

RTA 1:45:34 LRT 1:29:41
I appreciate you for your better route haha :D I know you could beat this time you're way more consistent with the bosses than I am!
Hey giga I had a route i wanted to run by you: I think we can save a minute by skipping maintenance tunnel key before Carlito and picking it up later while doing Bomb Collector using the route that the Ending A speedrun uses. Then we can just use the pistol we get from Carlito fight for skipping Kent and Aaron dialogue. Then after convicts we can switch pistol for Uzi in Food Court
Only issue that could happen is if we cant kill turret guy with shotgun we would have to use pistol to finish it out. Idk if u saw but in my run i just kill the turret guy and try to pick it up when convicts crash into wall. So it could rely a bit on luck but i think its worth looking into. What do u think?
Thank you for the suggestion.
I also thought there was room for improvement in the timing of picking up the key in my last run. For now, I'll try to run the route where I pick it up in the same way as Ending A.
I tried out the new route and I believe it saved about a minute throughout the entire run. Also, I updated the speedrun document to include the route difference. Practicing the boss fights paid off for this run lol
Here's the run: https://youtube.com/live/al7MXOsu0zI
RTA time is 1:40:58 LRT is 1:26:04
Btw I updated the document to grab the Stun Gun after the Jo fight to use on Sean and Kent. Saves about a minute if done correctly
